Definition
Conceptual framework popularized by Clayton Christensen that posits that users "hire" products to do a job in their life. The product that best fulfills that job wins — regardless of category. It shifts the question from *"what user am I?"* to *"what job am I trying to do?"*. Very useful for finding hidden competitors and innovation opportunities.
