Definition
Brand architecture model in which the corporation owns a portfolio of autonomous brands, each with its own identity, name, and positioning, with no visible link to the parent brand. The consumer recognizes the child brands, not necessarily the corporation behind them. It maximizes segmentation and allows competing in contradictory categories or segments.
