Definition
Percentage of users who land on a page and leave without interacting (without clicking, scrolling, or going to another page). In traditional analytics it indicates traffic quality vs. intent. Today it is complemented by engagement metrics (active time, deep scroll) that qualify whether the "bounce" was bad or whether the user got what they were looking for on a single page.
